Each year, UBC Sauder is proud to recognize outstanding employees who go above and beyond. Five employees were recently honoured for their remarkable contributions in 2020; one of the most challenging years in the business school’s history. We are proud to announce the following winners:

Kevin has been a key part of multiple projects that significantly impacted the Robert H. Lee Graduate School and is an invaluable connection between students and their career success. Kevin is also committed to his own professional growth by taking the school’s Part-Time MBA program.

Learning Services

Lyon applied outstanding support to faculty and staff through a difficult time during the school’s examination period, and provided a smooth online experience for students, staff and instructors. Lyon has also shown commitment to professional growth by pursuing UBC’s Master of Educational Technology degree.

Business Career Centre

This award recognizes the contributions of a staff member or team involved in a project that benefits the community at large. Pam has been volunteering with the Burnaby Children's Fund for over four years. This non-profit helps ensure children and their families receive food, clothing, furniture, medicine and other necessities. The winner of this award picks a B.C.-registered non-profit organization to receive a $2,500 donation from the school and not surprisingly, Pam chose the Burnaby Children’s Fund.

Connie has demonstrated dedication, professionalism and positive impact on the student experience with her work in provisioning student-facing technical support for online learning and live online exam technical support. The circumstances of the pandemic have truly elevated her contribution to the school.

Fareed’s dedication to continuous improvement and delivering innovative solutions for staff, faculty and students are ensuring UBC Sauder upholds its reputation as a globally leading business school.
