The BUSI 100 and 101 courses use the textbooks Principles of Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics written by Gregory Mankiw et al, and published by Nelson/Thomson. These books introduce students to the key concepts of micro and macro economics and provide the basic reading necessary to complete the course assignments. Note also that these books have an index and glossary at the end, which you may find helpful.
The recommended readings for the courses include the Study Guide to Accompany Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. These study guides are optional and are recommended to provide you with further practice on a topic, such as additional illustrations, examples, and clarifications, to supplement the textbook.
These books may be purchased from the Real Estate Division or (when available) an eBook version may be purchased direct from the publisher. As well, for those who purchase the eBook textbook, you may also purchase Aplia, an online supplement that provides interactive assignments to help students master the course concepts.
